Twelve years ago, my life came apart. A neurological condition called BIND took much of the life I thought I knew.

Putting the pieces back together raised more questions than answers. And helping others reminded me that, in one way or another, we all have our burdens.

Life in Question is a show about the curiosities we wrestle with, but rarely have answers to. We explore the messy reality of being human. Health, psychology, technology, relationships. All the elements that connect us to one another and make life worth living.

Each episode unpacks one question out loud — no shouting, no drama, no judgment. Just open conversation, a bit of levity, and the occasional hard truth. I don't have it all figured out. Not by a long shot. But maybe that's okay. I'll keep asking questions, stay curious, and see where it all takes us.

I hope you'll come along for the ride.

about your host

D E Foster - Headshot - Crop 1.jpg

Hi. My name is D E Foster. People just call me "D."

For the past twelve years, I've worked as an author, podcaster, and medical researcher supporting people living with the complications of anxiety and anxiety medication (benzodiazepines) — something I've navigated myself. I wrote a book, hosted two podcasts, and co-authored the study that first identified the neurological condition called BIND. I'm proud of that work, but even prouder of the grass roots community that supported me.

Along the way, in all those conversations, I noticed something: the more honest I was about my own struggles, the more people opened up about theirs. Not just people dealing with what I'd dealt with, but individuals navigating grief, illness, relationships, all the ordinary mess of being human.

And that's where I found "Life in Question."

I'm not an expert, and I'm still asking the questions myself. I'll screw up, think out loud, and let my many flaws show along the way. But I've learned that's okay. That's where the real connection happens.

Glad you're here.
